I am Marianna Pasina, aka Cipuva, and I am an illustrator and graphic designer.
I love picture books, stop motion animation and ceramics. I attended my bachelor in Design and Arts at Free University of Bolzano and after graduating I started working with FrabiatoFilm, a creative studio with a focus on video production. Meanwhile I developed my passion for illustration, attending many specific courses and workshop, including some at Ars in Fabula in Macerata, which gave me the occasion to meet amazing professionals and learn a lot. Later i attended a one-year master in Design for children at the Free University of Bolzano, where i graduated with a thesis about shame, developed with my friend and colleague Xenia Trojer.
The name Cipuva comes from onion (cipolla) and grape (uva), and it’s an extravagant combination of flavours you can taste when you put a half onion in the fridge, too close to the grape by mistake.
